Well then, I have to leave. All I've got with me is what I can put into the car. I'm headed west from Clarksville Tennessee. I'm looking foe somewhere to go. All I'm looking for at the moment is a place to go. I can figure the rest out when I get there. I just have to go.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Head west to the Arizona desert. Right now there are many around Quartzsite.

Welcome John, it sounds like you are in a stressful situation. Due to the time of year, it's best to head south and then west to avoid bad weather. There's a lot of free camping along the Texas coast where you can stay awhile. https://freecampsites.net/#!(28.34427,+-96.32813)

Many of us are in Arizona in the Quartzsite area for the winter. https://freecampsites.net/#!Quartzsite,+Arizona,+United+States
The free camping areas are large so you can camp with people or off all by yourself if that is what you wish.

Keep us updated. We are here to help however we can.

Kinda how I feel right now. Be careful and safe... I’m heading south then west myself. I’d do anything to go through Quartsite on my way west. Dealing with heat issues here and will be living outta my truck cab for a couple weeks. So if you see a white truck with four canoes on it... that’s probably me!
i hope your vehicle is up to the challenge. Message me if you get hung up from Amarillo west... I’ll have an ok selection of tools if trouble arises.

Right now (Feb 10-14) here in the Texas Panhandle (Amarillo area) we are in a deep cold snap...most likely you wont want to stay overnight in a vehicle unless you have a very capable and reliable heating system or very warm sleeping bags.

It's dropping to below zero at night over the weekend.

YIKES!!! Quartzsite will be 75* today.

I can’t leave today. Body isn’t cooperating... another -30 degree morning. But the sun must be warming up cause it’s already up to -11.
So tomorrow morning it is... heading towards Kansas City where I can drop my trailer and go. (Trailer being a loaded 16 place canoe trailer). Arizona is not on the way to where I’m going, but I’m up for a side trip if it means good people and warm weather... hoping by Monday to be in Quartsite.

Safe travels! It is going to be 60 degrees here in Southern Utah today but cold and snowy in the higher elevations.

Swing by YARC Camp. I can PM you the coordinates if you like. We are a very quiet camp this year though.
