I did temp nursing in Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. I liked it because with kids, I could decide when and when not to work. The only problem I had was having to transfer my nursing license from state to state. My assignments were from one day to a month, and I had to call in frequently. There were times that the facility I was assigned to for the day would cancel as I was going in to work. There was no guarantee of work and no insurance, and no other benefits but the pay was higher to accomadate for this.

Temp work can be good if you find an agency who have decent management. Like anything else in this world, everything depends on the individual who pulls the strings. If you can pass a pee test, have good references, no felonies, etc., Temp agencies would be a great way of earning some money. Look for national agencies, there are a few out there.

Rae
