<p style="margin: 0px;" align="center"><img border="0" hspace="0" alt="" align="baseline" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MJOA2LpRNLY/T7AzsykFaeI/AAAAAAAAA1o/lNWfB2eLu0g/s320/New+Sterlite.jpg"><div align="left">&nbsp;</div><p></p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="center">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="center">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">These are two drawers, both 17" wide.&nbsp; One is about 7 inches tall, the new one is 10 3/4 inches tall.&nbsp; I had been wasting a lot of space while thinking that a larger shelf would not fit - I'd never investigated it further.&nbsp; The new one fits in so tightly that I had to disassemble it to get it under the bed (and then reassemble it).&nbsp; It couldn't fit better!&nbsp; Another will be added tomorrow.</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">Notice the "fat guy" bed frame of 2x4s?&nbsp; I was concerned it was not an efficient use of space.&nbsp; Now the space underneath can be utilized better with the taller drawer.&nbsp;&nbsp;It's not just the extra space that helps - it's the extra height&nbsp;of the objects that can go in there.</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">How much space was reclaimed?&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; 1.658 cubic feet.&nbsp; That's a lot!&nbsp; <img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif"></p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">Did you notice the unpainted 2x4's?&nbsp;&nbsp;They are for&nbsp;an overhang to accommodate the twin mattress.&nbsp; As I continue to lose weight, the twin mattress will be replaced and the overhang boards will go away...</p><p style="margin: 0px;" align="left">&nbsp;</p>
 
<p style="margin: 0px;">I don't know about 100 microns but those ugly painted boards take up a little over three inches...&nbsp; It will be nice to remove them.&nbsp; But for now they allow the luxury of a very comfortable twin mattress.</p><p style="margin: 0px;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0px;">As far as the 100 microns goes, that's about the distance to spare btween the new drawer and bedframe... It was a bit** getting it to fit in there...&nbsp; I sure lucked out on the clearance.</p>
