I've made the reflectix inserts for the windows on my dodge caravan and they are great.  My only problem is keeping the very back one in the window.  Anyone solve that problem?

Small Command hook, piece of string taped to edges of the Reflectix (e.g. like hanging a picture), and maybe a similar setup from the bottom or a replaceable piece of tape

I used Velcro.

This video may have the answer you are looking for. Pretty clever idea actually...

mod edit to add description. Video is 8+ minutes of a couples privacy solution of putting their window inserts into cloth sleeves and holding them in place with thin metal strips. Please add descriptions to links as some are on limited data plans.

I also use adhesive-backed Velcro to hold the Reflectix in all the windows of my Transit Connect.

Works great.

I have seen some builds that have used small pieces of j-channel or track to hold black out/insulation inserts. I'm leaning towards this on my build.
It fitted properly the tracks do not allow light in/out and the curtains/insulation is easily removed for driving and normal outward appearance. Use a thin piece of closed cell polyethylene foam sandwiched in there for a bit of rigidity while still being flexible. Slip panels in a pocket on the door itself or on ceiling above door so it's handy when needed.

Reflectix/foil-based solutions should be as tight to the glass as possible for best results in reflecting heat, so tracks may not be ideal for all.
