Ok ... 11 confirmed cases is an "outbreak?" I guess technically.

If you have been to the Walmart in Casa Grande recently you may have been exposed. Unless you were born before 1957 in which case you likely got vaccinated. People born after typically did not get vaccinated as we thought this disease mostly gone in the US.

I had the MMR vax in CA in the early 70's. Still have the scar.

I don't know where you are getting your information. It is inaccurate.

The MMR vaccine is still a standard childhood requirement for entry into the school system.

I think I misread the article ...

"Anyone who has received two MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines or were born before 1957 and received one MMR vaccine are immune to contracting measles."

I was born be fore 1957. I don't remember a measles vaccination. I remember polio shots. I did have measles, as did nearly all my class mates.

Yes, born in 1954, I had all the things the MMR is supposed to prevent, and not one bite sorry there wasn't a vaccine at that time.

I suspect where it came from and it will most likely hit here where I live. I won't detail as it is "political" in nature.
