I got a MaxxFan Deluxe 5100K for my vamper, after unboxing and scoping it out, I see the control board has an RJ11 and RJ45 connector on it.
So that got me thinking, that for now I'd box it back up and look into it later.
I shot off an email to MaxxAir, which of course got no reply, but anyone here seen these, have a clue what they do?
I'll have a look when I get closer to installing, but it sure would be sweet if I could run a corded remote. Mine is the middle model, no power open or remote.
Sorry if I wrong topic'd this thread, was a toss up...

This guy is installing one in a Ford Transit van. Don't use tape, use butyl or dicor &  just follow the instructions with the fan.  Link below to install videos.  -crofter

Above install does not demonstrate putting sealant under the fan mount, but you should.  -crofter

Another install vid

Put butyl tape around the opening before installing the fan. After the fan is installed, use self leveling dicor around the seam and screws.

The instructions that came with the fan should say what those RJ jacks can be used for.

Alright guys, thanks for the tips, but the point of the thread isn't how to install, it's if anyone knows what the ports do/used for.
That's why I have RJ45 & RJ11 in the topic title and not how to install.

According to a google search the RJ jacks are for adding a wired remote.

I would say there RJ45 & RJ11 ports are for remote switches to for monitoring the fan.

I may look into one of these, my fan lost the impeller that time I was out.

Thats funny, when I looked into a month or so back I wasn't finding anything.
Guess I shoulda tried again before posting, oh well, sorry.
Thanks for pointing it out though, stoked about having a remote!
Now then, I wonder if I get s small network hub if I can have multiple remote? lol

It doesn't mention it anywhere in the manual or on the site that I saw, I'm surprised they don't push the wired remote.
I may end up converting mine to motorized at some point, I'm keeping an eye out for the parts on the cheap.

Thanks guys, I actually was still able to return mine to Amazon, which I did, as mine was an open box and they now have them new cheaper. But I spent a little more to step up to the deluxe automatic open w/remote.
