It's a good idea to print the items important to you, if you can. If TSHTF and the lights go out etc., we may not have the Net to connect to - or even computers for that matter (EMP).
Keeping a hard copy of important material (medical, material, mechanical, and social contacts, and so on) is always a good idea. E-books are great, as is the Net, but Brian and I have all our reference material in hard copy in the small storage locker we keep for 'stuff' too heavy to cart around on the road. When we won't be traveling around (for lack of gas or other reasons - think Police State), we'll pick up our 'stuff' and go back up into the mountains - God Willing.
That's another reason to always keep your gas tank full. Our rig is good for 1,200 miles, so a mile more than that away from home is a mile too many. We're planning on stashing enough gas in various locations to allow us to get back home from anywhere in the States or Canada if The Stuff does Hit The proverbial Fan and we're far from our preferred location.
Shalom,
Jesse.
