Anyone live near Maggie Valley NC? I seen an rv on craigslist, and I need someone to check it out and see what they think. Thanks

I'm in Arizona right now, never been to NC, not that I know anything about RV's

I'd suggest you get a mechanic to check it all out for you, and verify it is in good condition, or what sorts of things they think will go first, or what definitely needs replacing, etc.

You can even get RV techs, that are specialists in RV's, instead of just general mechanics, but I imagine either one will do you fine.

Regardless, I wish you lots and lots of successes!

With Love,
Tara

Tara is right on the mark.

This is the way I purchased a van, while at the same time being 12000 miles away. It is worth paying for the inspection. See if there is an independent in the area familiar with the brand. If the RV is a private sale, see if you can contact the nearest workshop for that brand. Make sure you have a complete list of things you want checked, on top of what they normally check. I would initially call and discuss your needs with the manager of the place you choose. After that, emails work fine.

All of it takes a little time doing the research, but the more you put into it, the better your inspection, the happier you will be.

Lifey
