I have always enjoyed seeing new sites and traveling. I love the gadgets that I see and the builds are a lot of great ideas. I always have had this want to own and build a camper/stealth/survival van. so it was right up my alley when we were moving and we fell into a 98 Ford Econoline 5.4 v8 fleet panel van from a local auction. We have had to put some money on it to bring it up to safety, about 5k all together. but new body and new steering and front end, means that less likely hood of rust and broken parts being a further hassle during future modifications.

I am kinda a mixed bag with many hobbies and interests ranging from SCA to costuming. I was raised in a military and scouting family where being prepared was a way of life more then a motto. reality of the situation and arriving places 15 mins early was considered mandatory rather then rude.

I am 37, male, and Polyamous, always looking for a bit of fun, I enjoy a quiet evening with a Signficant other and I love to share experiences with my friends rather then alone. One of the goals of building the van is to make some new friends abroad and have the oppurtinuty to make new friends. But more to come. I have already started doing the conversation, just waiting on the body repair to be completed in a few weeks.

Welcome! I had to do a Google search for "Polyamous". I thought maybe it was a new word. :p:D

so small update, got a huge amount of the body work already in progress, its going to look really good once the paint and new body work is all smoothed out. I am planning on getting some raptor liner along the bottom panels to help protect it.

Welcome to the dream.
They are all contagious. RV's, vans, they all cause it. The dream, the planning and building and the cozyness. Then we are faced with the problem of where to go and what area to see. So many choices. Hey, someone has to do it. :)

and dropped by today, my collapsible 3rd jumpseat console arrived today. very excited to see the last few pieces come in.
