Lights/power outlets to battery or mppt controller?

I bought the Renogy kit from Amazon that came with an MPPT controller. My MPPT controller has three sets of pos and neg connections

+/- to solar panels
+/- to batteries
+/- to Load

Do I wire my power outlets, lights, inverter, etc. directly to the battery or to the MPPT controller's load connections?

Wire all loads to battery.

The Load terminals diverts the extra solar energy to something else when the battery is near full charge and cannot take everything the solar can make. usually this "load" is diverted to the engine battery.
