I just read the 187 page second draft bill. MMJ users from out of state will have an affirmative defense against arrest, search and seizure as long as you have a card and stay within the Utah possession parameters, i.e., 4 oz or the equivalent.
It used to be that if you had a measurable metabolite in your blood, even if the last toke was weeks ago. you could be arrested for possession. Now, you pretty much need to be an impaired jerk.
I had been avoiding Utah for that reason. But my summer plans have changed. Now, if mmj was legal in National Parks, that would be even better. But, generally, most park rangers have better things to do than scouting out mmj users.
Oh, but you can't smoke it in Utah! Alternative delivery methods only.
