Just how anal should I be about this? I ask because I know that the RV fridges can be damaged based on their need to be level when running. I don't know how much wiggle room I have if it's not perfect. I'd like to avoid looking like I'm OCD when trying to get the bubble to the 0 position.

What's your experience been with this?

Don't feel bad Steve, I have a bubble-level on the dash of my van. I dont need it for my particular freezer, but the pop-top needs to be somewhat level. This is why I always carry a pair of those poly car ramps on my roof (lightweight, and able to level any side with ease).

When I had my Lance cabover camper on my pick-up, the fridge had to be very close to level for it to work properly.

it being HOT... I don't feel like doing anything until the winter (in norcal, there is no spring or fall, just summer/winter etc...). Too bad you don't live in norcal, or I'd build it for you...
I've been lucky. I spent every summer of my life (from 1-18) traveling in a 1970 Banner motorhome with the family. Ive been to every state (except Hawaii and Alaska) at least once.

For some reason the Dakotas stand out to me (scenery, Mt. Rushmore), so I may plan a trip there again as well.

Still haven't been to Vegas, though...lol

In response to the question about keeping an LP fridge level. You should be picky about it. I now have a 110V Magic Chef fridge, Instead of my old Dometic Tri-power as a result of not being picky enough. Ironically though I did try rolling the old unit over a couple times a day for a few days and plugged it into 110v and it took right off. The RV dealership had told me if the chemicals that make up the refrigerant became separated they would clog and gurgle, and a person could remove the unit and roll it and might get lucky. Oh well, I bought a new fridge and installed it before I tried it, so I sold the LP unit to a buddy once I got it working again.
