This last week my mom came to visit and she drove her rig down so she has all her travel gear with her. She, as a second generatian camper dweller has some things to teach us. THIS is one of her cooking hacks.
Pic 1 - Cheap muffin mix (corn bread and biscuits etc also work well) made with powdered milk. That aluminimum thing on the left is the oven.
Pic 2 - base with air vents cut from tuna can. Steel shot glass for fuel.
Pic 3 - pan filled with batter and lid fit on the base. Light the denatured alcohol first.
Pic 4 - FIRE IN THE HOLE!
Pic 5 - this time the cake was not a lie.
This kit was my Uncles. He would cook cornbread on the bow of his kyake while drifting. He would just add the water to the bag and mix it with an old chopstick. I miss that guy.
