It looks like I MIGHT be in the market for a laptop soon. I do not have the money for a Mac, so please do suggest one of those hahaha.

Anyone have any recommendations on decent Laptops that have a good battery life?

1) you can get a NETBOOK computer. They are not being sold much by the chain stores any more as I suppose not much profit there. Used to have one that functioned well. was not the latest and greatest, but did the job.

2) any new laptops you should get something that can run windows 7 or 8 64 bit. if it can run it, it is a good laptop.

3) what I use now is an Apple IPAD, with a wireless keyboard, and a wireless mouse. Jailbroken. it works great and does just as good as any laptop. maybe better because I can run apps.

An AMD Brazos dual core netbook would probably do you fine. I have one as my backup and while not nearly as fast as my I5 laptop, it does the job acceptably. If I stuck an SSD in it the thing would be pretty sweet.
As for battery life, running Brazostweaker I can get up to 8 hrs with the stock battery.. which isn't bad at all. Really, most people buy more 'computer' than they really need, though sometimes the extra power comes in handy. ..Willy.
