That's a pretty part of the world. I usually go to that area every other year. The last several years I been looking at properties in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, at http://www.zillow.com . Went all the way to Houston Missouri, to look at property, a couple a years ago. I can't believe the difference in property taxes, compared to Texas and Arkansas . In Texas we pay no state income, but I guarantee you that our property taxes makes up for it. The county I live in is very careless with their appraisals. I usually have to go to their offices and jump their a$$es. http://www.rates.org/property-tax-calculator .
I can't believe the price on that property. Is that per acre or for all? Maybe they owe back taxes on it? Good luck.

BTW: The town I live in south Texas is turning to Mexico. Half the people there don't speak English. And I still live a long ways from the border, between Houston and San Antonio.
