Kinda sad, Im going to have to give up my Trains

There just isn't going to be any room for them.

Long ago I would take the kids to a restaurant that had a train that ran along the perimeter of the ceiling. Sheketechad has me picturing a van or maybe a box truck that has sacrificed upper cabinets for a nice track . . . hooked into solar . . . maybe doubling for storage by carrying small needed items . . . around and around all day long.

4x8 sheet of plywood on the roof?

Start exploring all the real ones you can ride like in Williams to the Grand Canyon, Durango or the museums along the way!

My dad was into trains, I did it for a while when younger, but it takes space. Yeah, it's hard to get rid of a hobby like that, but a new adventure awaits.

There was one of those trains that ran around the room by the ceiling in a little bar/restaurant right near my apartment in Hawaii. I didn’t like the food much but would go just to watch the train.

I have a Z scale train for my tiny travel trailer. You can downsize to smaller trains.

nice. I like the sound effects. I could almost smell the cattle car. LOL highdesertranger

From a railroad family, rode freight from Waco to Richmond, CA once. Have been to Williams, rode to the Grand Canyon. Had to pay, that time.

You could have a trail table in a big drawer that slides under a bed :)

I had a decent HO scale setup while in high school, once I needed some coin to date the pretty girls, the trains never left the station. I gave the whole setup to a neighbor many moons ago; it took up a lot of space at 4x8 foot on four 4x2 foot modules. Somewhere I have pictures, LoL, old polaroids at that. I remember getting the old Lionel train sets in the 50s and 60s that bring in some cases thousands of dollars in the collectors market.

Hey mate, here are some big ones from Oz to help. Just think of all the railway's you'll be able to visit now while travelling.

Is there places you can run your own models on club type layouts ? There are places here where collectors can run their Scalextric cars.

All the best.

cool vids.
I would replace small with the real deal out there...you can enjoy trains in full scale and learn all about the tracks/history/etc. of it all :) I feel happy for you to get out there and go for it!!

Wow Maki. That would be a cool camp job!
