shutdowns happen all thru the years. this too shall pass but it would be wonderful if regular old people would own up and take care of their nature and resources...too much to ask I guess out of a person sad.

I am in Kisatchie NF, where electricity is on, showers are up and running, just a few campers here but everything is neat and tidy.

Tho, no payment envelopes and no rangers patrolling nor collecting fees.

Alas, in Brownsville the National Historical Sites (Mexican War battlefields) that I wanted to visit are closed. I can only hope that the tantrum in Washington ends soon.
