Some time back, I was in Target and spied a fleece "sheepskin"-like pillow case, sized for a body pillow. Now I am a sucker for things that are soft on my skin, or that sparkle and shine. Even though I didn't own and don't want to own a body pillow (where would it fit?), I bought the pillow case and remade it to fit my small pillows.

What a surprise! It's sooo much warmer in cold weather than a standard pillow case! At that time, I still had my sticks n bricks and when I was home, I'd use it in the house. It was the only thing that I'd take out of the van and bring inside. It's like wearing a warm hat.

So cover your sleeping pillows with something fleecy for winter. In warmer weather, it is too hot. The fleece cover goes on over the regular case and when it's warm, I just remove it and use the regular one. This is one of those "I am so glad I have this" little things that seem insignificant, maybe even silly, but made a big difference in comfort.

What little thing(s) do you have that make a big difference?

Great idea!!

Mine is the Sleep Easy sleep machine to drown out noise. Used to use a fan, but found this one that doesn't move air and love it! Adjustable volume white noise. Have one for the RV that's battery operated but isn't the same, the sleep machine went with me on my trip last weekend and slept so very sound. Didn't hear a peep from other campers either night.

Spirituallifetime,

It isn't sheepskin, I think it's fleece fabric but it has the look of sheepskin. It was cheap, $10 or so.

Best wishes.

We use jersey sheets and pillowcases in winter. Better, we think, than flannel..warm and soft and stretchy. Need to get some for the bed in the van. Where did you get the pillowcase?
