I've had and loved a lot of 4x4's, but my old stretched bronco framed falcon had to be my favorite.  :D :D

SWEET! And a rag top to boot?

Why not sell the 4x4 van then?  They seem to sell quick anytime I see one posted for sale..

Meh. Its a more a hobby restoration van then anything else now. If someone offered me a trade for like a bay-window VW Bus, I'd consider it, but I've invested so much time into it, I'd really rather hang on to it and see it done the way I always knew has to be done. What way is that? Reconfigure the dumb twin panhard rod into a proper single rod, ditch the springs for "softer" ones, and cut/turn the front axle to have the proper caster.

Yep. over the years, I've dabbled in some strange 4x4 conversions. for instance, there was the 67 Rambler wagon I mounted on a IH Scout frame.  that didn't work out as well as I'd hoped.  :shy:
I also tried to Scout frame a pinto, but I never finished it as I found a new use for the Pinto body.
