Hi all!<div><br></div><div>I'm from waaaaaay up here, almost all the way to the North Pole! (AKA Canada)</div><div><br></div><div>I'm in the process of converting my 1988 Chevy Astro.</div><div><br></div><div>Umm, not quite sure what else to say <img src="/images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"></div><div><br></div><div>Regards,</div><div>Hammer</div>

Welcome, I'm from MN and I thought it was cold here at -18 this morn. Cant imagine what it is up there. You should start a topic and throw up some pics of what you've done so far in the Conversion thread. Where ya planning on heading with the van?<br>

Thanks!<div><br></div><div>Actually, believe it or not right now it's around 7C umm... I think that's close to 45F?</div><div><br></div><div>I'm actually just starting the conversion. &nbsp; The van's been sitting for a while, so I'm doing some maintenance on it first, such as replacing fouled sensors, fuel pump, fuel tank etc... &nbsp;Whatever it takes to put it back on the road.</div><div><br></div><div>As for destination, the purpose mainly is to go 'Out there...' Sorry, had to throw a Kirk reference in. &nbsp;Actually it's for school. &nbsp;I have school for two and a half months a year, starting in September, but after that I'll be probably pulling a few road trips over the Rockies (I'm in British Columbia) and through the Prairies (sounds like a song already!).</div><div><br></div><div>Hammer</div>

Sounds like you have a bad case of "itchy feet." But don't worry, the cure is quite easy and pleasant. You just put the key in the ignition, start the rig and put it in drive. Viola, happiness and joy ensue. For me (and sounds like you too) it is the best possible way to live!! <img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0"> Bob<br>

You young folks don't realize how lucky you are.&nbsp; Jump in and do not look back,&nbsp; if I had done this when the itch struck I would have had a much happier life.&nbsp; Oh yes, welcome to one of the best places in the world for davice on the only way to live.&nbsp; Ed<br>
