I don't think its a camper looks like a normal conversion van. Don't think its super odd to see them. I know they might be foriegn but just the grammar in that ad worries me. Seems unprofessional for a dealership.

My 2 cents it's to much---run a vin check 19 almost 20 years old... not me..I bought a 1990 last yr for 800.oo cash, paint peeling on it too.

Dealers will almost always charge at least $500 more than what you can get on CL. Plus up here in Canada you have to pay tax and various fees you can often get around via CL.

The one advantage of the dealer is you can buy on credit.

priced way to high for an Astro with 30k short of its second roll over......around here thats a 1200 dollar vehicle...

I could be wrong , but I would have someone go thru it with a fine comb for that kinda money.......and the dealer should have one hell of a Rep. for his warranty service before I forked it over!!

yeah, sorry but I hafta agree.

I wouldn't give much more than $1500 for it. Too many miles...even as nice as it looks.

doesn't hurt to have a look at it though.

Just be forewarned if ya do, that once a dealer smells an interested buyer...out come the lies and huge claims!! BEWARE!!

I agree, it's too much for an Astro that old. But I'm sure you can get it for a lot less.

However, a high-top Astro is very rare and you can charge anything you want for something that rare.

I'd get it checked out by a mechanic and if it's okay I'd offer him $2000 for it, maybe go as high as $2500. I doubt he will take it.

I bought my 91 for $500. I will have a couple thousand more into it when done, but that is including solar.

I have to agree with everyone else. Too much money, by double.

Look into private sellers, and take it to a mechanic to check it out.

Yeah, too much but its not a bad van, who knows maybe he'd actually take much less.

far as dealerships are concerned, some are good to buy from because they have their mechanics check everything before the put a car on the yard, and yes they have higher overhead and yes you can probably find a similar van for less on craigslist but if the dealer has something you really like and are willing to pay a bit more for... no reason not to go to a dealer over a private seller.
