Hey guys,

My name is Gabriel. Im a very kind-hearted and adventuroues person. Im very young and new to the world of "Vandwelling". I currently live in Houston, TX. Looking to make very loving, debt free, nature-saturated life for myself in this coming year.

I don't have any experience as a van dweller, but I do have plenty experience camping and being involved in myself in nature. I'm a novice backpacker/hiker and mountain biker. I find my self in a game of self-perpetuated examination of my life; to love more, smile more, and make people smile on a daily basis. I am committing to not choosing to play societies game, and dropping out of the "rat race" as Mr. Wells calls it.

I just finished reading Robert Wells' book "How to Live in a Car, Van or RV."
It has literally propelled me into believing that I am ready for this kind of lifestyle. It is the source of my inspiration right now, and I hope I'm able to spend time with this man in being able to share a part of his life. And I know for a fact, as soon as make my way into this endeavor, I am going to meet a thousand other people who inspire me as he has; I just had to give the man credit!!

I'm introducing myself as I type this so that I call it into existence. All I need is the information, help, and support so that I can follow through with it. Again I wanted to just put my name out there, make myself known. I hope I see all your faces sometime. I honestly appreciate all of you taking the time to read this.

Thank you,

Gabriel

(P.S. I finished building a wooden structure to fit into my Ford Ranger camper shell, earlier today, to allow me to store underneath and sleep on top. Its definitely not my first choice to live out of, but its all I've got. I joined the forum for these purposes; to help me figure out my next step.)

Welcome Gabriel,
One of my first campers was a 4x4 GMC shortbed with a shell and a plywood storage bin that I slept on.......hope you have a great adventure.
