The science behind insulating coatings has debunked them.  You are pretty much wasting money.

I will using a ceramic insulating paint on my high top... I have a thread about it here:

I hope to get the patches up now that I've got an IR thermometer.

I wish you the best of luck in this endeavor, however I am highly skeptical that you will get any actual insulation value from paint. At best you might get better reflective properties from it. Insulation normally requires thickness that is not achievable from paint. Fingers crossed for you.
Gotta love those ir thermometers, eh? :)

Ayan, welcome to the forum! Research Lizard Skin. I found it to be more a heat-damping material (was a temperature difference) and sound deadener (I don't have this product/or used it). Been 6 months since I looked into it. I think depends on your margin of accomplishment.

I used 123 Primer with the goal of top coating with a good grade of bright white outdoor paint. The white primer made a big difference by reflecting the heat of the sun. My roof was maroon. There is a reflective paint used on school buses that is not as bright white, it is also a reflective coating. No paint can insulate in the true sense of that word.

The only temp advantage you'll gain from paint is dark to absorb sunlight and light to reflect it.
You can improve the reflecting portion considerably by using reflective roof coating paint like Kool Seal.
It's a considerable improvement especially if using solar where parking in the shade is a catch 22.
