Anything is possible in the desert.

A quick internet search came up with an incident in 1932 - 1 1/2" of snow in Yuma! Snow or ice is very rare in Quartzsite or Yuma. The road between them is flat. It can get really cold but I don't think you have to worry about the weather.

Tony and Karen, thank u that is really helpful. I didn't think so but have learned to ask when not familiar with the area. I must not have googled good questions I kept coming up with stuff about snowbirds, learned alot though! Then was trying elevation but couldn't figure out in between. Much appreciated. Hope day is good one for u guys:)

Poyeye Yes if there was a fluke storm like1932 could just wait it out 24 hrs!
Gotsmart amen on the anything can happen in the desert, learned about flashfloods awhile back!
