Awsome, Good idea on the slide. If i have the funds im going to try and get some solar and one more battery. Head to Quartz and let some of the good folks give me a hand. May be for a good roast in the oven I can find some takers. I thought it might run me 250. to drive to Quartz but I believe the diesel gets more pricy the closer you get. But im going to make this work ....hay cant find the smiley faces

Starting to sound like it needs to be a pretty good sized roast.  I will help where I can.

when you get ready to make a post, go to the 'preview post' tab at the bottom of the screen here.

...that's where you'll find 'em! :D

Congrats on the new toy!!

:s Advice please, Got the trailer, and generator , and one battery. Should I get one more battery get to quartz and if I have the funds order solar there? or is one battery ok? LOL find them

Might get a better deal on a battery elsewhere. Actually, not good to mix an old one with new. Costco has good deals on golf cart batteries.
You can order your solar from here.

IMO, I wouldn't be adding another battery quite yet. The existing batterys' condition hasn't been adequately tested and until it is you don't want to be tying another battery to it as it could pull the new one down.

If you indeed need two batteries then they need to be matched to your need and charging systems.

IIWM, I'd be prepared for not having the battery working well, pack a portable lantern, head lamp, etc and/or be prepared to rough it until you can get together with the wonderful people here who can help with needs assessment and battery condition checks.

Good advice AT :)
But, batteries are expensive in Q. Might be worth a trip to Parker or even Yuma for the difference.
Unless someone knows someone with good prices ;)

There will likely be at least a few of us all needing help with set up on systems and batteries.

I know I will be amongst them. I started my wiring job here and put it on the back burner when I found out what the price difference was for 12 gauge 12V wire here as opposed to stateside.

We can always do a group run to Parker or Yuma for several of us to buy at the same time.

Group Run has been mentioned...will there be nudity involved :D

Are you kidding me.... :D :p

Well, at least not on my part anyways - the rest of you are welcome to try but somehow I don't think there will be a lot of participation!

A - I can't run even in case of fire.
B - I try not to hurt those I love, and believe me, running nude would hurt me physically and those around me would be scarred mentally for life!

I'm with ya on not being able to run. Have enough trouble breathing while walking, even with my O2.

Always amazes me as to how folks percieve their own bodies and nudity in general.

running naked in the desert, no thanks. it ain't called jumping jumping cholla for nothing. ouch. highdesertranger

LMAO....Working nude I always feel tougher with my boots and gloves on,isnt it hunting season? Some hunter might mistake me for a new dessert lizard that needs to shave. All humar aside battery is brand new so im thinking Ill wait maybe even order solar there and have it sent to a local mail facility. Will they do that ? the mail place.

I was just in Discount Solar in QZT to check out their battery prices and I thought they were pretty good for name brands:

Interstate Golf Carts---$115
Trojan T 105---$125
Full River 6 volt AGM golf cart---$259
Full River 12 volt AGM Group 27 105 ah---$229

I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong because I didn't take a picture, Full River 12 volt AGM Group 31 $259. My memory isn't hat it used to be!

No sales tax on any of these in AZ if they are meant for solar and no shipping--they are in stock by the pallet. There is a core-charge though.

I've had very good luck so far with both my Trojan T-105s and my Full River AGM golf carts so I recommend them. When I bougt mine the warranty on the Full River was exceptional, which is why I chose them. Since you are buying from a dealer in QZT, I would expect warranty service to be very good.
