Ok, the tractor sold, and ive ben really worried about what to buy, but my neibor has a friend that has a 05, 24 foot tahoe by thor travel trailer, no power jacks, has awning, mint condition. 7k It has been under a shed and ther is no leaks. opinions PLEASE..

Go to the NADA website and get a ballpark value.

When you go look at it make sure everything is plugged in and hooked up so you can test all the systems. Flip every switch, turn on every faucet, flush the toilet, turn on the stove, oven, AC, and heater and check the hot water.

Preferably, the TT is parked on pavement so you can check for leaks.

Thor has a good reputation.

Yes I did and everything worked, Im thinking the price for that product is good. Im all over the internet and it appears the thor owners hold on to them, as I dont find many for sale.

Do you have a tow vehicle, and can you comfortably drive with it?  Some people are great with a tow that size, others not.

As wit buying anything, have a professional check out the details.  It is worth $100 to make sure you do not have a giant problem.

Good thinking when I was getting my motor put back in my motorhome  I had them do a compression check. :)

O yes, I have driven a big pete before, and hauled horses in a goose. My tow vehicle is a 2002 f250. with a 7.3

sounds like a good deal. It might pay to investigate whether or not a f250 truck is up to the task. I've heard a lot of rv people express that they wish they had gone a little larger with their tow vehicle. Not saying it won't work, but, it's always good to check.
Have you been to the escapee's forum? A lot of good info (and some not so good LOL) there, including an entire section for 5er's.

Go over every inch of the floor looking for spongy spots or where it feels just wrong and pay a lot of attention to the bathroom area floor and around the windows. You don't want the windows to have been leaking and water running into the walls. You want to make sure that the refrigerator is cooling to the proper temp, I would get a thermometer and check it as both that and the A/C can operate but not cool. I would run the furnace enough to make sure that it would run and not run awhile and cut out. Also, are the tires the original because even if not showing wear, that might be something you would want to replace to stay ahead of trouble, some people think around 6 or 7 years, the tires should be replaced and I don't want to debate it, this just what is said by some. Tires cost a lot of money. We just replaced some on one of the vehicles and the tires cost more than the vehicle is worth.

Is this fiberglass laminated or aluminum-sided on the outside? If fiberglass laminated, make sure there is no delamination.

Get a bright flashlight, and check the walls inside the cabinets looking for water damage.  Smell for mold.

Poke at the edges of the ceilings and floors looking for any damage.  I missed that when I bought my trailer, and it cost me.

Mine had been in a fire, and they did cover up.  3 months in it became unlivable and I lost everything.

It sounds like you are willing to do your homework.  Just do not settle.  This time of year there are a lot of deals out there.  If this one does not work, there are more just waiting.

There's help here to get solar up. I ordered another Renogy panel the other day. Quiet Times took delivery, charged me a whole dollar :)
Renogy can get an order here in about 48 hours, shipped free.
Batteries are a bit pricey tho. Might be best to pick them up elsewhere.

Clean the seal around the slide and dress it with spray silicone.
