Well, I finally did it! Yesterday I purchased a 2008 Chevy Express Van. I have been reading this site for months planning my escape. All the information here has been very helpful and I have a lot of good ideas for my van conversion into a camper.

The van I got has a lot of miles on it (100k) but otherwise seems in excellent condition. I have the impression that a van like this could last a couple of hundred thousand miles if maintained properly. Are there people out there with a lot of miles on their Chevy Express Van? I'd like to get a better idea of how long I can expect this van to last.

that van will go another 100k before I would not buy it!!

make sure you flush the trans. & change the filter thats about the only thing people forget to do and the biggest reason for failures.

it was built to go 250 k ......easy

you should definately get an additional 100-150K out of it, if you do proper maintenance to it. Do not skimp on this.
