Hey, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. There's probably a bunch of Goth folks out there that'd love that thing. I doubt there's anything seriously wrong with it either. Looks aren't everything you know; I like a "Diamond in the Rough" myself.

My first husband was a musician when he got back from Vietnam and needed a car he bought a used hearse. It was the "band wagon". Of course that was in 1970 and he was young and dumb. It was not very long before it broke down and was too expensive for him to repair. He never was the mechanical type and still isn't. But he did like to camp and fish so we did that a lot during the summers in Alaska. I even liked his relatives :)

@maki2,

I know, right? I grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana, around that time, and had a friend, Gary, who had one in high school, a big black Cadillac too. To say he was popular would be an understatement. I had a 62 VW bug, a ragtop, I did okay.

You could just park every night across from the funeral home and if you got "the knock" just tell them you were transporting someone in the morning(you didn't say a dead body now did you).

Park every night down the cemetery without much of a problem.

It's in La Grange, Texas, ZZ Top sang about that town, not Phoenix, and I bet $1000 will buy it. Change the oil in the engine, tranny, and rear end, change the belts and hoses, fresh coolant, drain the gas tank and flush the lines, and I bet you could drive her home. Notice the lack of rust, that part of Texas is an arid climate and stuff doesn't rust very fast.

My first thought was spending the night at Camp Walmart and the looks you'd get climbing out of the back in the morning to grab coffee.

Man, I'd have way too much fun with this. I LOVE it!!
