We are so excited to make y'all's acquaintance. We have been dreaming of this lifestyle for a few years now, but always found a reason why it "wasn't the right time." After looking over our finances after a recent move that we made to try to save up money for the nomadic lifestyle, we decided we need to rip the band-aid off. Our lease on our current apartment is up on February 15th, and we plan to have wheels on the road by that date at the latest, even if it means initially taking off in our current small SUV and figuring out a truck/trailer as we go along. The cost of living here in Philadelphia is so much higher than Georgia (where we both grew up.) Both of us have been having a tough time in various ways since the move, and only being able to count on seeing family once or twice a year isn't helping.

I've worked jobs before in video production where I traveled the country for a year at a time (multiple years running) with a team and stayed in places for a couple of months. It suited me well, so I'm looking forward to traveling with my partner Oldjerry252 and our two dogs.

Thanks so much for allowing us to join! Right now we are looking for advice on establishing domicile....which state is best? He's a veteran with access to VA healthcare, I need good healthcare available anywhere in the US if I can get it because I have multiple health issues. We are working age (30s-40s) so we don't have to worry about a pension being taxed. Thanks for any insight you have to offer!

Fantastic post my dear!  You are a better writer than I am for sure.  I don't want to clog up the forums with my supportive comments but had to do it this one time seeing as we are the new kids on the block.

I love you and I love this adventure we will be on so, very soon.

Thanks again to all the community members for the support, love, and advice!
