I have seen you discussing selling your van sometime this fall; I may be interested if you don't have a buyer. I tried, unsuccessfully, to PM you about this...

You can't PM me, but you can email me at [email protected]

I don't know what I want to do so I'll probably end up doing nothing. If I do anything it will require a massive amount of my time and I just don't have any to spare.

My goal is to be able to travel in the summer and burn much less Fuel and I just can't settle on a plan to meet all my needs.

I understand. I am also indecisive at the moment and weighing options. I started a thread on cab-over shells, partly inspired by your discovery of the Bel-Air shells. It's either going to be a cargo van, or my Tacoma 4x4. Space or MPG? 2wd or 4wd? Aaarrrggghhh!!!

In any event, I am in Maryland, but I have family in Arizona, and will be interested in your rig for the foreseeable future. I currently have a 2002 Express that I love, but I live in the Rust Belt and it has taken its toll...

One thing that you can look into is changing the gear ratio in the differential of the van for better mileage. If you have a high gear ratio like 4.11 : 1, you may not need it. Especially with an automatic transmission. Take your VIN number to a dealership and they should be able to tell you what you have. Work trucks like 3/4 ton+ vans are set up for pulling really heavy loads. To keep the speedometer accurate you can also change the small drive gear for it in the tranny output shaft.
