I first want to say thanx Bob, this is a very good thing you are doing here. There are alot of people out there that really need the info from this site, and also the help that everyone here is giving to other people is absolutely amazing. I am not new to traveling but I will be new to living off grid, which I plan on doing asap. I am an ex truck driver, (ex due to ill health), and I travel extensively now since my early forced retirement, but I do all my traveling on my Honda Goldwing Trike with my teardrop camper. I also have a converted cargo trailer that my Dad built for me for camping and hauling my trike with me if need be. and I pull all that with my E350 Ford Ext. van. So I have all that I need to go, I am just waiting for my Daughter and her children to get a place of their own and I have to get the solar and all the other stuff to live off grid. I just hope it won't be forever till all this comes about. Again, THANK YOU ALL!

Welcome Judy! Glad you found us!

Thanx everyone, yes, I have my camper, but I do still need to set it up with the solar and all that. I also have a problem with the shower thing, my Dad built a sm. room for the port a potty but I have no shower. I am trying to fiqure out a way to make that small room waterproof and put a drain that can attach to a hose and be run into a large bucket under the trailer. I also would like to put in one of those on-demand water heaters. I don't know if I could even get enough solar panels to run all that, but I am hoping to find all this stuff out here on this site. I also don't have any water tanks on board, I have a hose hook-up for my water. So as it sits it is not really very good for anything outside of an RV park. I have alot to do before I can take it out to the desert. Any Ideas would be VERY much appreciated.

Thanx Cindy, something like that could work, I could use something like that with one of those outside shower enclosures untill I could build something inside the trailer.

Hey everyone! I haven't been around for awhile and I thought I would check in and let ya'll know it's been cause of MORE medical issues! I am so upset that we have had to wait to leave from here and miss the RTR, I was so looking forward to finally getting to meet everyone. I feel like the world has been against us since we tried to begin our new journey, but I'm hoping we will be able to finally go as soon as my husband recovers from another heart surgery that he has just had a week and a half ago. He is doing pretty well now, and I have finally gotten my problems taken care of so we are hoping to get out of SC in a couple weeks or so, as soon as the Dr. tells my husband he can drive again. Hopefully we'll be able to finally meet up with everyone that stayed in AZ very soon. Anyway, just letting the ones who may be wondering what happened to us, know what's been goin on.
We are really looking forward to getting out west and enjoying the desert for a little while before it gets too terribly hot. I can't wait to get into some warm weather and ride my motorcycle again, it's been in the trailer for way too long!!! So, we hope to see ya'll out there soon, till then take care of yourselves!!

Jeez, Judy...sorry to hear of the medical issues for your husband....good he is getting batter and I hope you can get on the road soon.

You will both be held in my prayers and thoughts...
Bri

Thanx so much everyone!
Well, we finally got out of SC! We are down in florida right now cause I couldn't take anymore of the cold weather! We are just about 90 miles north of tampa on the west coast of florida for the next month and the weather down here is awesome right now! It was 83 here yesterday and we had the best ride we've had in months! My husband is doing MUCH better and has just yesterday been able to ride his Harley again. We are still planning to go out west but we wanted to let it warm up a bit more out there. Everyone might be on their way up north by the time we get there but I am sill planning on finding BOB and getting to finally meet him!
Blk, long time no hear! I hope your well and getting to ride your bike. Glad to see you back also.
Thanx Bri, it was, I'm sure, thanx to all the people we know that were saying a few good words for us, why my husband pulled thru his 5th heart surgery! Hope ya'll are doing well too!
Thanx Pikachu!

Hope to see some of you soon!
