Hi everyone! My name is Mae and I am in the planning stages of RV life!

Basically, I already have a rig chosen, I already have pretty much everything planned and I am currently downsizing this month into a smaller place, but I'm not in a position to purchase my RV until the end of May when I plan to start my full timing. However, I am super excited for this transition to the nomad life!

I came here because I would love to find some traveling friends and figured I would start building relationships before I hit the road :)

About me: I'm 37 (I'll be 38 in January), I live in Phoenix, and I will be traveling with my little old lady chihuahua. I will getting a class C and plan on heading north for the summer and then make my way to the east coast for fall (it's been FOREVER since I have seen fall colors!) and then down across the south for the winter then I thought I would hit Route 66 in the spring. After that, it will be wherever my heart takes me!

So, HI! I am glad a community like this exists! Can't wait to get to know you all!

Welcome to the CRVL forums Mae! Sounds like a good plan! Keep us updated as you downsize, buy your RV, and start traveling!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome. I'm also a Phoenix area resident in the planning stages. I'm a little further along than you, having recently bought my cargo trailer I am just starting to convert and my tow vehicle I bought in February. But as a life-long native of Arizona, I don't plan to wander too far. (Maybe that'll change. Who knows?) My plan is to stay in the west and out of Commiefornia. I just turned 51, which is still considered young for this group, but am using my disability funds payout and continuing income for my sustenance. A common thing here.

Thank you! I most definitely will!

Hello fellow desert dweller!

I have been here for 28 years now and I love my city, but I think there's just so much to see and do that I can't stay around here much longer! [emoji23]

I do plan to be a snow bird and come back for holidays with the family, but definitely plan to see all the things [emoji7]
