Hello everybody, my name is Luciano and my van's name is Maxine and we live in the Golden State. I am currently a part-time Vandweller

 I have developed a lifestyle that is really working for me. I rent my house through Airbnb between seven and 10 days per month, and once I book those days I darken the rest of the month. During the days I have guests I live in my van, and then go home  after my guests leave. If I want to go on a longer trip I simply rent my house for a longer period of time. Conversely, if I want to stay home I just don't rent at all. I like being able to control my time this way. Last year I went on a six week trip to Ecuador and rented my house for five weeks. Ecuador trip barely cost me $1000.

I see myself living like this indefinitely  until such time when I sell my house out right and just live completely out of my van. However, at this point I really like to have a base of operations and I like the extra cash. 

 I joined this group so I can get some tips on how to maximize my van dwelling experience, along with meeting like-minded men and women who have embraced this lifestyle. Look forward to being part of this group.

Welcome aboard from a fellow Orange County resident! I'm not sure I'd even call myself a part timer. I'm more of road tripper. I've found this site very helpful and the members, with very few exceptions, friendly and welcoming.
