I am planning to become a full time RVer. I live in Missouri and am in the process learning about this lifestyle. I am trying to find an RV, a remote job, and figure some other things out like the domicile state, health insurance, how to cut down my budget to live on less, etc etc. I'm so glad I found this resource. I'll probably be asking lots of questions here.

Welcome to the CRVL forums gueracabrera13! Some of your questions may be answered in the different sections of the forum but feel free to ask about anything and everything!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums    :)

There is a number of ways to get into this lifestyle.   A high top extended cargo Van has been the choice of so many as it is large enough for a single person, can be built out is steps, and may be the fastest way to get you out there.

Look around some RV places where they store customers rigs thru the winter and notice the tarps tied over the top of them. There is a reason for that....roof leaks.  My 30 year old Ford high top hasn't leaked yet.  Where Vans may be tolerated, RV's aren't welcome just everywhere. (and vice versa in certain other places)

I'd invite you to check out the two links below.  They may be helpful.

Good Luck !

there are websites that show the cost per state for health insurance and which states have the best plans for the money. The big issue with that is that not all the most affordable plans can be used out of state for anything other than emergency types of situations. So that means a lot of time investigating various health care plans in different states to see if they meet your needs. Some areas have high food cost, some areas have much lower food cost but that does not always coordinate with where you want to spend your time and affordable stores might not always be conveniently close to where you camp. Of course the same is true for fuel cost.  Remote jobs are a real issue when it comes to states that have state income taxes and rules about working out of state regarding legal residency even if they don't have a state income tax. So you have to watch out for that little clause in the residency requirements.
