Well,

I got damn lucky i believe.. found a real good kid on craigslist of all places.

I will put a review for the kid in the appropriate thewad also. Once i make sure he is good with that.

Head gasket is done. The van is running spectacular now.  I helped him and he helped me.. i certainly learned some new knowledge..

And my van runs like brand new..

Got some ball joints to replace, but im not complaining..

The kid charged me $850 for is time. Head gasket kit and a few other miscellaneous parts were about $200.

You could say i am a happy camper

I sure hope you had the head pressure checked and surfaced flat. Highdesertranger

So which of the various checks finally confirm that you had a bad head gasket?

Confirmed ot with bubbles in the coolant, the pressure test should have pick it up.  But no one waited for the engine to come up to temp..

I did not, took the chance, we did check the surface with a level.. and things looked good.. no signs of warping..
