Kurt Vonnegut said " I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and think at some point, ' If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' It is also said that showing gratitude makes you happier. What makes you happy? What are you grateful for?

Happyness is a lap cat, a good book, and fresh air

Hugs from my grandson, my fellow Army moms who always make me laugh and are always there for me, warm sun shining, blue skies, just to name a few :D

A good motorcycle ride with my wife, on a warm summer day, on a quiet country road, with no other traffic. :D

Any time with my honey, just being together is my happy.

I am thankful [to God] for friends, family, dog and my vagabond lifestyle. Also for having enough to eat, for sunsets, sunrises, trails, roads and good books. I thank Him for the beauty of His creation and for the capacity to enjoy it.

I am grateful for:

Knowing I make a difference in peoples lives (At times)
That I can be generous in a non-monetary way.
That I am employed (At 55) and the pay rate is OK. (No, not that $15 BS, but it works for me)
That I am allowed to CHOOSE my living style and not having to conform to others perceptions.
That I can ask questions and get good answers.
That I get discounted food where I work. (Or free, but you didn't read that...)
That I like most of my co-workers.
That I work the evening shift.
That I no longer have to pay for my wifi
That my vehicle is running good. (OK, could use a tune up...still)
That it's PAID for....

I'll stop there...that's good enough.

What makes me happy-

a heart felt smile and greeting
soft dog ears
sunshine
an animal (wild or domestic)looking back at me without fear
warm breeze
gentle rain and the smell after
kids holding my hand
creating

what am I grateful for-

my body treating me well in spite of the years of abuse
my daughter
Having loved and lost
having loved and been loved
most lessons of life
options/choices
seeing what is around the next curve or hill
that my son is still alive in spite of himself
to not live in an urban area
to have lived in this era
to still trust

I'm happy that I have work to do, people to love, and who love me in return, good books to read, a roof over my head, and that I get to live in a place that most people would be happy to just take a vacation to.
