Here is a link to the 'vintage plans' page of the Teardrops 'n' Tiny Travel Trailers Forum. &nbsp;If you scroll almost all the way to the bottom, there is a free download for the plans for a Conestoga Trailer (which is the 'American' version of the gypsy vardo, coming into use at about the same time as the vardos were in Europe). &nbsp;It's also related to the Sheep Wagon, of course. &nbsp;<br /><br />This one is in my plans to build after the van is done. &nbsp;It is supposed to weigh about 500 pounds or so completed. &nbsp;A smaller lighter version than you usually find.<br /><br />http://tnttt.com/VintagePlans/vintageplans.html<br /><br />I've downloaded and looked at these plans. They look cool and relatively easy.

Look up Bowtop Vardo. The Bowtop is very similar to the Conestoga and also very light. P.S. I am also a member on TnTT.

Hey Joey, I went to the PawPaw fest again this year and the massage lady was there again with hers. It is very small, just right for her wonderful chair messages. She towed with a very old Nissan truck. She has a good business at festivals thruout the summer.&nbsp; I know you are thinking of living quarters but if&nbsp;someone wanted to conduct an arts or music or vintage business, can you just imagine how much attention a vardo will draw.

Hi Joey,<br /><br />I love vardo's and their history. &nbsp;Yes, I saw Steve Cox's work (it's really beautiful, isn't it?), and also SaGR's bowtop. &nbsp;<br /><br />I researched trying to build a bowtop originally, thinking that my little Ford could pull it, but the vardo forums I went on to ask questions generally felt that most vardo's and bowtops, including Steve Lemke's Americanized plans, come in slightly heavier than 1000 pounds, which was a non-starter for me. &nbsp;I really liked the Conestoga plans on tnttt for their simplicity as well as payload, and I've been thinking about mixing the design with foamie technology!<br /><br />Now that I've moved up to the van, I can be a bit less restricted as far as weight goes, but still want to keep things simple.<br /><br />I like Ledges, as well as Reading style caravans similar to <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="http://paleotool.com/the-vardo/">Paleotool's vardo</a></strong></span>. &nbsp;But my absolute favorite is <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="http://gypsywaggons.co.uk/varsuk.htm">the square Bowtop</a></strong></span>. &nbsp;Scroll down to vardo number 026. &nbsp;I've only ever seen this one pic, but it is pretty cool.<br /><br />The sheepwagons are also very cool as well. &nbsp;<br /><br />AAAAARRRRGGGG! &nbsp;Must concentrate on the van. &nbsp;Convert the van!!! &nbsp;No Vardo! &nbsp;Down MA! &nbsp;Not Yet!!!! &nbsp;Down! &nbsp; &nbsp;<img src="/images/boards/smilies/eek.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" />
