Not necessarily. I have a 1984 Grumman Olsen Kabmaster that had a Ford straight six originally. When I purchased it it had been sporting a white-Hercules D2300 turbo diesel for 20 years. It gets 19 mpg full or empty, uphill or down. It is so under-powered it can hardly get out of its own way. It literally has the power of a 36 hp VW van. At that kind of MPG I could cae less and I find myself in no hurry.I have a auxiliary transmission with Ober/under and hope to be able to cruise at 62 instead of 54.kyonu said:I imagine the nice 17mpg will drop down to a slither at 10 to 12 mpg once you deck it out with living supplies and electronic components. But what about the pictures?!
