Admiring the lifestyle and I feel like I could jump in and do this eventually.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the forum David S. Jump in and enjoy the conversation and see how it fits your life. There are some here who do, some who don’t and want to, and some who are just interested. And they are all welcome.

Go camping right now in the vehicle you have without buying anything new. Wherever you are, there's a public campground within striking distance.

You'll learn pretty quickly whether this is for you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums  :)

Yes you could jump in now if you get a rig together.  Just take it in small steps to start out with. (like a week end camp out to start with.  Take a note book and just down notes to yourself of things you wish you had known to take with you. These will be your "shake downs" or first trips.

If you go out on a Friday afternoon you may start at your first campground overnight.  The next morning break camp and travel to a second place for Saturday.  This way you can set up an itinerary to see a few sites and land in a camp ground where you can find a camp site to suit you.

There are two links below you may enjoy looking thru.  On page 6 of the first one there is a list of stuff
people like to take along in order to be safe & comfortable.  So here is a list of suggestions.
