I have been using GoldBlatt brand tool as Handle for Opening //closing slider door -
tool is for hand sanding - holds sandpaper - find at drywall / tool department box store -
Have been using daily for 6 years - can be Screwed or Epoxied in place -
handle is large diameter and makes easy to hold and comfortable use -
plastic handle stays cool in sunshine -
steel mounting plate on handle is thick and strong -
I put 4 sheet metal screws and maybe epoxy on handle inside door -
handle on outside of door uses only epoxy to hold in place -
metal plate is 3 inches wide allows mounting screws to be spread out
on door sheet metal for better strength
will also work as grab handle to help You in getting IN /Out of van etc
could also work as handle for a box or something -
cost around $8 -
Handle is red but Maybe can be painted - not sure
