Thanks to Bob, and his video and posts for both info and inspiration!  I followed his lead to California Land Management and their website.
Found a couple of campgrounds I'm interested in and applied for it yesterday morning. I did a phone interview this afternoon and was offered the job; which I promptly accepted.  Yay!

I'll be at a campground just east of Yosemite in Inyo National Forest.  Great place for a federal fugitive like me to hide out.  All of these Border Patrol guys running around the vicinity of Alogodones are making me nervous!  JUST KIDDING.

:D

Again, thanks Bob!

When do you start? And can you have guests? Congrats Pat.

Congrats that's awesome! I was thinking of looking into one of those positions, just gotta check and see what i'm allowed to make on disability if any.

Looking at photos online, it looks amazing!

That is excellent! I'm jelly!!! Once I get my beast setup abit better, I will be in co petition with you for these kinds of jobs...lol. Don't worry, at the rate I'm going, it will be 5 years before I try and apply. Congrats man, glad it happened to you!

Starts in Mid-June, depending on the weather.  That is, it could start later.  Of course I can guests!

Thanks, Gunny!

The one I have is only 15 hours a week... it won't cause problems for my unemployment, but disability is another thing entirely from what I understand.

If I hear any different, I'll send you a PM.

:)  Whoopee!  Congratulations! Queenie would say so too except she's sleeping off her Chicken McNuggets

Taz and Lacy would say hi to Queenie, but they're snoozing in the warm rising sun right now!  :D

Nice !
What will you be doing?

I suspect cleaning up.  I plan to buy a Hazmat suit with full respirator for THAT task.  ;)  I am going to believe Bob's comment about explosive diarrhea occurring about once a week!

I suspect I will also be collecting the fees ... it IS a pay campsite.

On my off-hours, hiking, more hiking, learning to fly-fish , learning to play my mandolin, practicing shooting my recurve bow till my shoulder hurts, and did I mention hiking?

Yosemite has been on my bucket list for years!!! Finally!

Skuh kuh kuh kuh kuh kuh kuh

I have done that a couple of times.....no more.!.
Yup a hazmat suit would come in handy!
Ladies room from "hovering" and men's from kids using huge balls of tp and overflowing ...great fun.
Vault toilets are actually better ,,,(except for the need for a respirator) I used to just hose the whole place down on the bad ones.
Remember , not all people do that! Some days you'll just be restocking paper.
But the after hour's and a pay check will be nice compensation .
You'll make lots of new friends from all over the world.

I've been fly fishing since I was 7 years old,  if I make it across country this summer I'll come visit and toss a line with you.  I'm sort of re learning to fly fish as my disability took some use of my hands.  But I can certainly give you some pointers.

That would be great , ERLH! If nothing else, I enjoy putting a face to the people who I correspond with here.
Could be a lot of fun.

Folks, this is just a friendly reminder that many of us have limited bandwidth and are using our phones. so we ask that you carefully trim any quotes you include to the bare minimum. When you are reading on a phone, and you have to read the same post twice to get a new comment, it can be frustrating--especially if there are pictures!

Be kind and trim and remember quoting is not necessary!! :)
