Hi everyone -- My husband was a hippie living in a school bus when I met him 40+ years ago, and we've lived in a lot of different vehicles, mostly not full-timing but sometimes. (A few pictures in the link in my signature, click inside the book).

We now live in rural Colorado, and last year it was too darn cold! So we are planning to head south with our dogs in November, come back in maybe April, we'll see... we had a 1983 Toyota Dolphin for 12 years till last month, recently bought a 1982 Tioga, will be way worse mileage but much more spacious for living in! We have a piece of land in southern NM, will camp there, boondock around a bit, and go to the NM state parks some.

We sold the Dolphin in a day, with several people waiting to come see it...

Welcome!

Really dig the idea of having a HQ somewhere, even just some land to which you can return to regroup, rest, do some maintenance, then head out again.

Those Dolphins have a huge cult-like following.

You get the good gas mileage and drivability of a small pick-up, but all the amenities of a full RV...what's not to like??!!

Tell us more...like what kinda dogs do you have, any hobbies, do you have any kids, oh...and pictures...we like pictures!!

Welcome to the forum Zana. With your experience, you should fit in just fine around here!

Hello form the Oregon Coastline!! :D

Welcome, your book looks interesting, you have had a good life traveling.
Where in S NM is your land?

Yes, Patrick, we've been huge fans of Dolphins... had two of them. Our second one (1983) was nicknamed Cando, and we took it into Mexico several times, ended up living outside of Guadalajara, near Lake Chapala, from 2005-2010. Cando became our guest cabin for much of that time!

We weren't planning to sell it but when some friends here in Colorado had a Tioga (1982 but fewer miles on it) for sale, the more spacious layout appealed and we bought it for $2800. Renovation inside is underway, will share pictures when we are just a bit further along.

Our Rottweiler, Lola, is a Mexican rescue from when we lived there. She's seven now. Her little buddy is a Sheltie-Papillon rescue from Colorado.

We are both writers. I'm currently writing my third mystery, in a genre called cozy mysteries. They are on Amazon if you search Zana Hart. Need to get my 1000 words in this morning, so I'd better go! Photos eventually.

Outside of Deming. We've got a few friends in that area and in Columbus. Besides camping at times on our land, we like Rockhound State Park not far away, Poncho Villa State Park in Columbus, and City of Rocks State Park a bit north. And I LOVE to stop at Elephant Butte State Park coming or going and get one of the sites high above the lake.

I see you've got a couple of Etsy links. I'm thinking of selling a bunch of old stuff there, when I get around to it!
