Hello all! My name is Jim Fitch. I am a retired police dog handler. I retired in 2009 and since then I started a small service business doing pet sitting, dog walking, canine and equine massage in Northeast Kansas. It has kept me busier at times than I was when I was working pre-retirement. I have always enjoyed moving about and exploring new places. I am now realizing that if I want to survive better financially and have the adventures that I have always craved, it is time to get rid of the house, the accumulated property and go mobile, just me and the dogs. I also have cats but I don't know how well they would do on the road. Has anyone else tried taking cats along on their journey? If yes, let me know how it went. I'm thinking the cats will need to be re-homed. So now I am watching Bob's videos along with others to gain knowledge to get ready. I'm looking forward to benefiting from all of your experience here in the forum. Thanks in advance!

Welcome. There are tons of cats living happily on the road They get used to it

yes cats do well on the road. many train them onto leashes so they can get out and about a bit.

depending on your rig you choose, with dogs and cats I would make sure I am in something with some room in it for all to fit and have some space, especially you, lol :)

we enjoyed our home with our horses and land and stuff but in the end, our home now is nothing but a noose around our neck. we want out of home maintenance, freedom to hit the road and not have to be home to mow and more! Going mobile is just what we want now also!
