I use the Gas Buddy app to find cheap gas. I have seen ads for the Gas Buddy card, which claims to save even more money. Is the card worth getting?

Ain't no free lunch, so that savings is getting paid for somehow, by someone. Of all the entities in the gasoline supply & marketing chain, who would pay or forsake profits on your behalf? Anyone? Costs always get passed downhill.

I use the site, but not religiously. I have seen the come on, but getting another card doesn't interest me.

As Mr Noodly says, they have to be getting something back for each nickel a gallon, and I would guess it will be be more than a nickel.

I would pass up a free lunch.

I consult Gas Buddy frequently. But all it does (usually) is confirm that Costco and Sam's Club are usually the cheapest fuel nearly anywhere.

I say invest in getting memberships to those stores.
