Hopefully this doesn't violate any forum terms...

It's hosted by this off grid homesteader couple, Doug and Stacey, that I follow on you tube. I've been interested in solar ovens for a while but know very little about them yet.

Thought I'd share here.

It's free but you have to register, here's the link:

Or look up Off Grid with Doug and Stacy on you tube if you want a little background on them before you sign up. The link is also in the "community" section of their channel page.

I hope I can catch it. I think the one seminar I gave at the RTR that was not taped was on solar cooking. Bob wants to shoot one on the five different ovens/cookers that I carry and use tomorrow. Hopefully by next years RTR I will have a few more examples. The two types I will likely never carry is a parabolic and Fresnel due to the size and limitations.

I have seen this channel before, they are very focused on the sun oven which they sell. My talks tend to discuss the pros and cons of all of my ovens/cookers. The important thing is that no one solution is best at everything including my favorite the sport oven. (direct competition to the sun oven which I also have)

I haven't heard of the sport oven. I'll look into it.
I know they have a stake in the sun oven so I take their raves about it with a grain of salt.
I'm only watching to get info. Ideally I'd like to build my own but I don't like the cardboard and tinfoil diy plans I see online.
With something like a solar oven I'd prefer to reverse engineer one on my own but that's hard to do without one to physically go over. I know of no place in my area that has any on hand to view in person.
And hey, maybe I'll get lucky and win the one they're giving away.

P.s. I'd be interested in viewing your vids, are they available online?
