Flyfishing Guide company looking for seasonal shuttle drivers

Hello!

Western Rivers Flyfisher Guides Shuttle Service is looking to fill a couple of full-time shuttle driver positions for the flyfishing season which begins middle of April and goes through mid October. You would be working between 4-10hrs/day averaging $10-$15/hour. You will be shuttling our guides vehicles from the boat launch up river to the take out down river. We are wanting to find someone that loves the outdoors and would like to fill up the travel bank account. If you love fishing, hiking, Mountain Biking or Climbing this position could be for you. We are located in Dutch John, Utah which is located near the Flaming Gorge and Green River,  which has some of the best trout fishing in the country. Northeastern Utah is rather remote with your nearest neighbors generally being Pronged Horn Antelope, Deer, Elk and other animals. Dutch John unfortunately does not have much for housing but does have free camping with gorgeous scenery within 3-4 miles from our shop as well as some sites  with RV hookups. My question would be.... what does a full hookup camping lot cost per month in your area?

A site with full hookups would be approximately $400/month.

Where would employees go to find resources like:  gas, propane,groceries,  laundry, ect...
Also, from reading your description of wages, it's commission(tip) driven ???
From the wording " avgs between $10 -$15/ hr .

Just trying to figure out the logistics of the assignment before applying to the position offered.

Hey Possum,Thanks for reaching out with questions. In the town of Dutch John there are two gas stations that have propane, laundry, shower and basic groceries. The closest large to Dutch John for major grocery shopping is about 1hr 15min north or south in Rock Springs, Wy or Vernal, Ut. People generally carpool or offer to pick thi ngs up for others. The pay varies because you get paid per shuttle driven which varies by distance and time. A 30min round trip is worth $10, 1hr 40min is $20, 2hrs is $30 respectively. Tips are also left occasionally which always helps. There are other opportunities as well based on your skillset and drive to make more money. If you have any more questions feel free to post here or you can also text or call me at 8054180704.  On a side note, the country around Dutch John steals just about everyone s heart that spends time there, be forewarned...Cheers,JP
