Faucet Hose Adapter

The advantage over a Water Bandit seems to be that this device actually locks onto the faucet and will not pop off. The water bandit is great for outdoor spigots, but this one is designed to latch securely onto an indoor faucet like a kitchen sink. Especially if trying to do this single-handed, where there isn't a second person to make sure a Water Bandit doesn't pop off under pressure, this looks like a real improvement.

The Dire Wolfess

Back in my waterbed years I had a little garden hose adapter that you would screw into the faucet in place of the aerator. It had several graduated thread sizes for "universal" functionality. It worked well and was very compact, just a tiny little coupling with the different size threads on it. Compact enough that I have no clue where it is now that I'd like to find it again.

May require pliers set up for a soft grip so as to not mar.

I think I will just buy it and the water bandit.

Thanks for letting me know about it.

Water bandit is your option. You just have to stand there and hold it on to the spout while you're filling. Cheapest most universal adapter.

Please use a hose rated for water consumption (potable). A regular garden hose can impart a bad taste to the water as well as not being good for you. Garden hoses are not meant to be potable, they are for the garden. RV places sell short hoses that are for potable water. They are usually white or blue.

I have walked into a public rest room before and someone was using the sink for an urinal. just saying. highdesertranger

From the link (Claber) "Only for straight-neck faucets no wider or deeper than 1-1/4 inches". Not quite universal.

As far as I can recall, I think just about every faucet I've seen in a public restroom has been a straight neck. So I would expect it to be fairly universal for what I want it for.

I also ordered the water bandit. So hopefully between the two, I will be good.

Here is a free solution, using a plastic water or beverage bottle. Just cut a hole in the side of the bottle.
A piece of hose on the bottle spout would direct the water into a jug.
