So, Facebook doesn't test their apps in the real world until they are forced to?

I *upgraded* to the facebook app on my old phone. It was useless. With the newphone, I don't use the Facebook app at all. I just use the mobile website instead. The Facebook app sucks even on iOS.

It definitely is intrusive. But no more intrusive than any other place else on the web.

The adage goes, "If you're not paying for a service, you're the product, not the customer."

Check the ads on any webpage you're on. Unless you are blocking the ads, Big Brother knows where you have been.

I gave up on Facebook a while back. Its loaded with too much garbage and dumba$$es.

Plus 1000! A couple live friends talked me into trying it once, saying we could 'keep in touch'. Heck we meet face-to-face at least once a week, we phone and e-mail each other - why add Farcebook!? But I tried it. Never could get them to use it. Got lots of 'friend' requests from total unknowns, lots of folks wanting me to sign onto some silly RPG. So, I soon gave it up as being something I have NO interest in. I do not Farcebook, I do not use Tweeter. No teeny-bopper social sites for this old dog. E-mail and computer forums are quite sufficient.
