I still have a few small things to take care of with the trailer, nothing major, I hope. I get the results of my Pacemaker tests in late March and whatever the prognosis is it's time to go.

Came home today and the internet is down again, it's becoming a regular thing and while it's a small inconvenience I pay for it. The office is just "Oh well".

Stopped by the office today and asked one of the clerks who I thought I knew if her husband would assist when I have to take the lift off of the pickup. I always pay her kid to tote my trash rather than drag my scooter out and have loaned her 60 dollars, no big thing. She acted like she got all offended by my asking so I just told her to give me my 60 dollars and I'll consider it a day. Got it too.

Had a kid out playing in my Polaris trying to shift gears and after I ran him off daddy comes to fuss at me. So rather than go to jail, figure I better move out.

Going to meet up with Jimindenver in. Ehrenburg.

So if you see my wounded truck out there stop by for coffee.

Rob

Well Hell!!         Some days it just ain't frigging worth getting out of bed!         Are you able to take your scooter and the trailer?  Anyone around to help you pack & move?      If I was closer I'd help you in a heartbeat.

Stay Safe       Jewellann

Not sure about the scooter, may store it and use the ATV extensively if it's remotely legal. I may try and find a small used one out there. Lots of old folks ....Thanks for the thoughts Jewellann.

Hi Gunny,

Well when you know you know. Sounds like it's time to get out of there. I have every intention of doing a nice long road trip this summer. My end destination being Portland Oregon as I've yet to visit my brother who moved out there 5 years ago. I plan on finding you and Jim on my way, I don't mind a big detour, in fact prefer it.

Matt, It would be my pleasure to sit and have a cup of coffee or a beer with you. You always conduct yourself as a gentleman. Not many do anymore.

Rob

I, too, would help you if I could. *sigh* I'm also getting awfully tired of the self-serving attitude of many people.

When I was a kid, one of our neighbors knocked on the door. She was elderly and had only one working arm. She asked my Mom if she was the person who kept sneaking into her carport early every trash pickup day, and taking her garbage can to the curb. I don't know if she ever found out. You don't see much of that anymore.

Good luck with everything, I hope to meet you this coming fall or winter. If you see a cat wearing a familiar vest harness, be sure to yell, "HEY! YOU! Where did you get that harness?"

I feel your pain. I'm pretty fed up with the ever-higher pile of BS they keep throwing our way...it just gets worse every year. I need the money so I am sticking it out through to the beginning of May when they lay everyone off anyway so I will still have unemployment income for a few months. It's getting hard not just to ditch it now.

Having a crappy neighbor doesn't help either, and I'm so over the winter weather too!!!

Stop by Wyoming if you feel like it...I'll be here through end of May!

Maybe see you in Quartsite or one of the gatherings. I like Wyoming but not so much in February.

Thanks for the invitation, be safe...Rob

It's a bit strange for me, I am uncomfortable (part of my PTSD I am told) dealing with people, but meeting members from the forum I actually look forward to. Probably got more from this group than my shrink.

Rob

well, hell, no one has any respect for anyone anymore
I'd like to give a hand, if I can, let me know a more definite timeline and I'll see if I can get a few days off, around then
in the meantime find some teenager with a strong back, weak mind, to help with that lift, there are still a few who'll do a couple minutes work for some bux

Art, the offer of a steak dinner is still good. I can get the lift off by myself, I just have to do it a few moves spaced out. The lift does not use a standard lock thing on the hitch, they use a teeny bit smaller bolt held on by a lock nut. Not one damn thing on that apparatus is normal... Including me when I use it..Ha.

Thanks for the offer, my friend.

Rob

I should've come up there the last weekend, instead of going to that roll and stroll attempt, better use of a rare weekend off lol

After the first anytime is good. It's been a strange month moneywise.

Rob

OK I'll plan on the fifth, we can get some stuff done, I'm not much for plans, but I got that there strong back and a few brain cells up there somewhere lol

Sounds good, it wouldn't be for the work, I am going to find one of the guys here to do it. I only use the lift when I go to the VA, the building is huge and I don't like using one of the wheelchairs they have. Most of the time my scooter is a chair in my tiny apt.

Rob

OK I guess I'll just enjoy a drive then, and good company. never a bad combination
Maybe I'll ride up on my scooter, if it's a nice day

I haven't watched the weather, beautiful today but as you know, Texas weather is subject to change in a moment. It would be nice to meet you.

Rob

might even be before then, I got 16 hour vac time boss wants me to use before end of march so I don't lose it, I told him whenever is fine, so we'll see, I'd like to meet you, as well
