Woof, anyone having a drone (not me) might like to take a look at new rules being implemented by Congress and the FAA. Subtitle B—Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the pdf file. Too much for me to interpret. The IEEE page has a summary of some items, about halfway down the page.

I've been monitoring the developments....commercial interests are being prioritized over the hobbyists...

The uncontrolled airspace below 400 feet AGL used to be a playground for RC aircraft and quadcopters, drones, etc, but now the big companies who want to operate there with commercial UAS and UAVs are tossing money, a lot of it, at the politicians.

And of course, the 'bad actors' have messed it up for the rest of us. 

I just don't fly mine much anymore, because it has become a reason for the public to react negatively, even if I have done nothing wrong, unsafe, or illegal.

We had fun while it lasted!
